Bismarck, ND - Walls have risen, windows are installed, the roof is on, and work is begun on the interior walls of the new Benedictine Living Communities facility at Coleman Street N and 43rd avenue, Bismarck.
Since the groundbreaking on April 17, construction has been moving at an aggressive pace to complete the 60,131 square foot nursing facility. With 24 transitional care beds and 48 long term care beds, the facility will fulfill the needs of area residents for rehabilitation and long term care.
“We are on target for our projected June 1 opening to move in the first guests,” said Steve Przybilla, administrator of the new facility.
The Benedictine Living Communities board of directors recently visited the site to see the construction progress. Board members Sister Kathleen Doyle, OSB and Sister Mary Susan DeWitt, OSB, of St. Scholastica Monastery, Duluth; Jeanette Miller, Wahpeton; Board Chair Kim Good, LaMoure; Tim Cox, Bismarck; and Don Gackle, Garrison, toured the site after the regular November board meeting.
“The community is also becoming excited about the new facility. We are receiving frequent calls from potential employees and from families who wish to have their loved one reside with us,” Przybilla added. “We are looking forward to our opening day and are hard at work to make it all come together.”
For more information, Przybilla encourages community members to contact him at (701) 751-4224.
